Welcome to Tarkov, a fictional city located in north-western Russia, which thanks to its convenient location became the Special Economic Zone and consequently the gateway between Russia and Europe.

Preferential economic laws have attracted lots of international companies with both respected and dodgy reputation. Sooner or later It had to end with a scandal. Unfortunately it turned out that the prominent politicians were involved in it as well.

Enraging the local factions, the scandal led to an open conflict involving the UN peacekeepers, Ministry of Internal Affairs’ internal troops and, oddly enough, two private military companies. And here is where the story begins! Choose your side and try to fight off enemies, since you’re trapped in the middle of the local warfare anyway!

Local authorities vs. the government

Choosing between USEC and BEAR is not only a choice of appearance or unit types, but actually a much more serious dilemma. Both mercenary groups have some things on their conscience. Both won’t stop at nothing to achieve their goals and defeat their opponents.

The fight is not only between the local authorities (USEC) and the Russian government (BEAR), but also between two other factions, who have their own interests here. As usual, while two dogs are fighting for a bone, the third one runs away with it.

The same is here with the Scavs. A paramilitary group, comprising the jetsam from the seemingly abandoned city, Scavs constitute the third playable faction. Which group appeals to you the most?

Massive multiplayer shootout

As a multiplayer adventure, Escape from Tarkov’sgameplay provides you with an immersive experience. Complete raids on large scale locations while you play solo or with friends. Fight against each other, as well as against other players and AI controlled units.
