Hearts of Iron 4 is another installment of a series of popular war strategy video games developed by Paradox Development Studios and released by Paradox Interactive in 2016. Mobilization Pack improves the gameplay with some extra content, namely six game-changing DLCs, introducing new units, strategies, gameplay mechanics, and much more. It is worth noting that Hearts of Iron IV is known for its realistic picturing of the historic events, making the game a "must-have" for every enthusiast of World War Two history period.

Gameplay and mechanics

During the game, players take the role of a commander of the chosen country. Hearts of Iron IV is World War II strategy game, and it tries to portray the WW II reality as faithful as possible and it is full of famous (and infamous) characters known from history. Besides real-life generals, ministers, and other important persons, the game features many historic events in the form of mini-missions, that players can complete gaining points of political power, which can be spent on various bonuses that will help them to win the game. Creating a good strategy, and making well-thought long-term decisions are the most essential aspects of the gameplay. Players must not only lead their armies during battles but also participate in politics, creating alliances, making profitable deals with other leaders, and so on. It is worth remembering that not every conflict can be solved with violence.

The game gives us almost unlimited freedom of action. Even though HoI 4 features real, historic events, through certain decisions players can create different, alternative versions of history. The only true limitation is the player's creativity. Besides single-player mode, the game features multiplayer gameplay, during which we can battle other players for world domination.

Mobilization Pack

• Waking the Tiger - a DLC focusing on picturing the War in Asia. Introduces new National Focus trees for Japan, and China, and also expands the one available for Germans. A new Chain of Command system enables players to create a much more detailed organization of their armies. Additionally, the system of traits for generals has been thoroughly modified.
• Man the Guns - naval-themed expansion concentrating on fleets and flotillas. Now, players can design and create their own ships and modify those that are already available in the game. The DLC brings new possibilities such as naval treaties, that can affect the entire world.

Experience unique historical and alternative history paths for Greece, Turkey, and Bulgaria. Fight against a much stronger enemy, resisting their efforts to dominate strategically essential sea lines of the Bosporus and Dardanelles.
