Gameplay

Order of the Sinking Star is built around solving an extensive collection of interconnected puzzles. Each of its four worlds introduces its own rules and mechanics, gradually teaching players new ways to interact with characters, objects and environments. Individual challenges build on concepts introduced earlier, becoming increasingly complex as new systems are added.

Players are free to explore at their own pace rather than following one rigid sequence. Difficult puzzles can be left behind and revisited later, while discoveries in another area may provide a different perspective on an earlier challenge. As the four worlds begin to overlap, their previously separate mechanics are combined, creating new puzzle situations from familiar rules.

The playable cast includes characters such as a queen, thief, warrior, wizard and even a talking boat. Their complementary abilities introduce further variations to exploration and puzzle solving, making understanding how different characters interact with the environment an important part of progression.

Story

The adventure transports players to a strange realm filled with magic, dangerous contraptions, monsters and unexplained phenomena. At first, its four worlds appear to have their own characters, stories and mysteries, but their connections gradually become clearer as the journey continues.

When characters from different worlds begin to meet, both their stories and their puzzle mechanics start to intersect. Exploration, environmental clues and notes reveal more about the history of the realm and the mysterious Order of the Sinking Star.
